Tailwheel Airplane

 

To act as pilot in command (PIC) in a Tailwheel Airplane (FAR § 61.31 (i)), an additional endorsement is required.

 

A Tailwheel Airplane Endorsement conducted by the US-Flight Training Center consists of two parts:

 

Ground School: Discussion of the aircraft systems and emergency procedures, takeoffs and landings

 

Practical Training: Takeoffs and landings (normal and with crosswind) in various configurations, climb and descents, steep turns, slow flight, stalls, emergencies, go arounds, one-wheel landings

 

Validity: unlimited (lifelong endorsement)
