High-Performance Aircraft

A High-Performance Aircraft Endorsement (FAR § 61.31 (f)) is required if an aircraft has an engine with more than 200 horsepower.

A High-Performance Aircraft Endorsement conducted by the US-Flight Training Center consists of two parts:

Ground School: Discussion of the aircraft systems and emergency procedures, flight planning, aircraft performance

Practical Training: Takeoffs and landings in various configurations, climb and descents, steep turns, slow flight, stalls, emergencies. If the High-Performance Aircraft is also a Complex Aircraft, the training for both endorsements - High-Performance Aircraft & Complex Aircraft - can be combined.

Validity: unlimited (lifelong endorsements)
